Happy Halloween!

We had an early Halloween weekend with a trip to Zoo Boo on Friday night and our neighborhood Halloween party on Sunday night. Alex and Reed loved Zoo Boo. This year, they could both ride the little rides in the farm area and Alex got to feed some hay to a horse. Reed loved the disco area and became a little dancing dragon!

At our neighborhood party on Sunday, they had lots of treats for the kids and two bouncers. Alex and Reed had fun, and Alex even won a medal for his costume. He was so proud, he had to sleep with it under his pillow!

It's two weeks before Halloween...

...so would you please stop getting us dressed up in our costumes to take pictures? Love, Alex and Reed

Six little monkeys

This weekend we had our friends the Coles and the Van Epps over for playtime and dinner. All in all, there were six little monkey boys, all age four and under! Everyone survived, and we had a great time.

New at the zoo

We took a work "field trip" yesterday to the zoo. Alex and Reed had a great time at the newly developed Teton Trek and the weather was perfect. One of my coworkers, Melissa, took these photos and they turned out great. The little girl is Kate, a coworkers daughter.

Pumpkin time

Carving pumpkins with a 2 year old and a 4 year old is messy. More accurately, having a 2 year old and a 4 year old play with the pumpkin "guts" while I attempt to carve a pumpkin is messy. So after playing for a while, carving for a while and doing a load of laundry, we finally got a jack o'lantern and some cute pictures!

Silly singing dinosaurs

We had a very busy weekend! Friday night we went to a Mexican restaurant that has a mariachi band. Alex and Reed absolutely loved it! By the time dinner was over, Alex was doing the chicken dance and Reed was clapping and dancing in his seat. It was great!

On Saturday, we went to see the silly singing dinosaurs at the Levitt Shell. We had so much fun there at the summer series, we were really glad to be able to make it to this one. It just so happened that Alex is on the letter "d" this week at school, so he's been studying dinosaurs all week! Both Alex and Reed were really excited about the dinosaurs and Alex even ventured up front. Great fun!

Cake and cards

Aunt Christie took me for a pre-birthday pedicure last night, and while I was away, Alex, Reed and Brian baked a birthday cake for me and made sweet cards. Brian wrote out happy birthday so that Alex could copy it, and Reed just drew some colorful swishes!

Alex did have to help Brian find the mixer (no, daddy, it's in that cabinet over there!) but for a first time cake, it was absolutely delicious. I love my sweet boys!
