Fun weekends

We have had a couple fun weekends without too much going on. We were able to visit the new candy shop and have lots of outdoor time.

We also spent some time looking for the hidden cat!

Spring Break Continues...

We finished up spring break with an overnight visit to Moz and Gramps' house, a little miniature golf, and a weekend trip to the lake. The boys declared it the best spring break ever, and I think I agree!

Hot Springs

We took a quick trip to Hot Springs to kick off spring break. We went to the top of the Mountain Tower when we first arrived, and it gave us a great view of the city.

We weren't really planning to go to the horse races, but we ended up taking the hotel shuttle there, and everyone had a blast. The boys had fun cheering for the horses, and Brian and I enjoyed the food and drink. It was a really fun family event!

On Sunday, we drove about 30 miles from Hot Springs to go crystal digging at Coleman Mine. It rained the night before, so the crystals were easy to see and there was tons of mud. I'm pretty sure the boys loved the mud more than the crystals. It was definitely a memorable experience!

Sunday afternoon, we walked around downtown, toured a bathhouse and felt the hot springs water.  It was a great way to start the week!

Reed lost a tooth!

Reed lost his first tooth tonight eating a piece of pizza. He declared himself the "toothless wonder"!

Snow day!

We finally got a little ice and snow today, and the boys were thrilled to have the day off school. Even though it was freezing, they loved sliding down the hill and playing in the snow.

Mardi Gras

We went to the St. Louis Mardi Gras dinner and parade for the first time this year, and we had a blast! Reed's cub scout group had a super-hero float, and Alex got more beads than I've ever seen before.

Tiger game

The boys were chosen to do a mini-dunk contest at the Memphis vs. Louisville game. What a treat!
