Field trip

Alex had a field trip to the zoo this week. I went for a little bit and had a fun time with these four boys. They really are a great group of friends. Look at all those missing teeth!

Pumpkin time

It's pumpkin patch and carving time again! This year, Alex chose a scary face (same as last year, and the year before) and Reed chose a kitty cat.

Alex was actually able to carve his pumpkin almost completely by himself for the first time, and he did a great job. He did miss one tooth on the scary face - the same tooth he has missing in his real smile! Reed enjoyed watching Brian and I carve his pumpkin.

Career day

Today was career day in kindergarten. Reed decided to be a "vegetarian".

Tailgating

We've had a really busy fall, so this weekend was the first time we had a chance to tailgate for a Tigers game. The boys played football all afternoon with friends and then we headed over to the game. It was a perfect fall afternoon for football!

Reed's field trip

Reed had his first field trip this week! Brian got to go along and enjoy the fun, which Reed loved. He got to pick a pumpkin, feed rabbits and goats, ride a horse and run through a hay maze. He had a blast!

Fall break

We had the best, most relaxing fall break at the lake. We played outside a ton and went to the state park for some football and baseball. Other than that, we were super lazy - watching football, playoff baseball and doing lots of puzzles. A much needed break!

Weekend fun

The boys had another fun weekend at Moz and Gramps' house! Apparently, it was filled with football and crafts. I love that combo!

Reed gets glasses!

A few weeks ago, we went to see an ophthalmologist to have Reed's eyes checked. We noticed that one eye turned in sometimes when he was trying really hard to see something. The doctor agreed and said that he needed glasses to correct the problem. He might grow out of it as his farsightedness improves, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I have to admit that I was a little bummed at this news. I knew he needed them, but I didn't want to see his cute little face look different. I must have let it show a little bit too because Alex said, "Mom, he won't look weird with glasses, just a little different."

Anyway, we've waited over a week for the glasses to arrive and they are so cute!! Seriously, I didn't think he could be any cuter, but he is!

Trying on the glasses at the optometrist office. I think he looks pretty happy with them!

He's also pretty happy to look like Daddy!

Time for Fall!

Chili for dinner and the first fire of the season. I love fall!
