First Penance

Reed had his first penance today. He did a great job and was very proud of himself! He looked pretty handsome, too.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at the lake - even though I didn't take many pictures to prove it! The boys spent some time reading and a lot of time playing football with Pops and Gramps!

Toothless Reed

Reed finally lost one of his front teeth! Look at that cute smile...

Halloween

The Tigers had a home game on Halloween night, we we decided to trick-or-treat on Tiger Lane! The boys had fun handing out candy and seeing everyone in costume. They were more into tailgating than dressing up, so this is the best costume shot we got! They did have a couple other opportunities to wear their costumes. Of course I don't have photos, but Reed was a zombie skeleton and Alex was a recon commando.

Friday nite

We went downtown Friday night for dinner and a walk around the arts festival. It was beautiful weather, and we all enjoyed the roaming band!

School conferences

The boys finished the first grading period, and both got great reports from their teachers.

Alex's teacher said he is totally capable of being a straight-A student. He is very interested in grades all of a sudden and has set that as a goal. For now, we are really proud of his great grades and super attitude and behavior. He is also the #1 reader in his class!

Reed's teacher said that she has no concerns about him academically - he is doing great. He is a really strong reader and is loving school. She could only laugh when talking about his behavior. He has a little trouble staying in his seat - mostly because he's up dancing!

Tiger tailgate

We had such a great time at the Tiger tailgate last weekend! The boys love being outside, watching the players and band arrive and playing football with their friends. Such a fun family tradition!

Reed wins!

Reed and Alex ran the one-mile fun run at St. Louis last week. They both came in near the front of the pack, but we were extra excited that Reed won first place in his age group. He plans to take the medal for show-and-tell at school tomorrow. Go Reed!

Fair Fun

We went to the fair for the first time this year. The boys loved all the rides, and we all enjoyed a funnel cake and fried oreos!

Labor Day at the Lake

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the lake! It was so nice to catch up with family that we don't see very often, and the boys had so much fun playing with cousins. Of course there was lots of swimming and playing, and we even managed to squeeze in a dance party and limbo!

Reed's birthday dinner with Aunt Christie

Reed got his special birthday dinner with Aunt Christie - this is becoming quite a tradition!

First day of school

Happy first day of second and fourth grade! And happy birthday, Reed!

Reed's 7th birthday

Reed is seven! His actual birthday is on the first day of school, so we celebrated with a friend laser tag party and a family dinner party this weekend. Reed was super excited for his big day, and everyone had fun!

Quick vacation

The boys and I had an awesome time on a quick vacation to Muscle Shoals and the Rattlesnake Saloon!
