Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday, especially because we get a super long weekend at the lake with family. Of course, we did lots of cooking, carving and eating, but we managed to sneak in some puzzles and a few walks in the woods.

We also went to the old soda fountain drugstore in Corinth. It was fantastic - coke float for Alex and a giant banana split for Reed! We all had a great weekend and were so sad to see it end (seems like a lake house theme, right?)

Komodo dragon

The zoo is fabulous on Sunday mornings. It was a gorgeous day, and we enjoyed an up close view of the Komodo dragon!

Weekend

We had such a fun weekend! We explored the Greenline, went to the Shelby Farms playground, tailgated and saw a Tiger win. And that was just Saturday!

On Sunday, we went to the driving range and had lunch at Broadway Pizza. I love a busy, fun fall weekend with the whole family.

A fun night

I love dinner out on the town. We had a blast in midtown tonight!

Long weekend

Last weekend was our anniversary, so the boys went to spend TWO nights with Moz and Gramps. It's been a long time since they've been away for more than one night, and they loved it. They went to the playground, tried to feed the ducks and played some golf. They were exhausted (both the kids and the grandparents) when we picked them up!

Happy Halloween!

Brian and I both agreed that this was one of the most fun Halloweens since we were kids. The boys loved dressing up, knew exactly what to do and enjoyed every minute of it.

We had dinner with our neighbors to kick off the night and hit just about every street in the neighborhood. Nights like this make me really appreciate what a great neighborhood we live in and how much I love knowing all our neighbors!

The cute boys ready for Halloween!

All the kiddos in the neighborhood (minus a strawberry and a lobster!)

A little reading time while waiting for the trick-or-treating

They loved running from house to house.

The big kids. These three were on a mission for candy.

We ran into some friends on the streets (Airey and Grove).

Reed's Halloween Party

Class parties are a big deal in kindergarten. Reed enjoyed every minute of his, and he had a great time being a football player with Audrey for his cheerleader.

At the party, Reed's teacher pulled me aside and said that Reed had her wrapped around his little finger. She said she was pretty sure that if he asked her to borrow her car, she wouldn't be able to turn him down! It made me smile, but he does the same thing to us!

After school, they both enjoyed their Halloween treats!
