Memorial Day Weekend

Another year, another awesome Memorial Day weekend at the lake. We enjoyed playing in the water for hours, grilling out and relaxing. Reed drove the kayak for the first time, and Alex discovered fishing!

 

We weren't quite ready for the weekend to end, so we had one more cookout when we got home!

Reed's kindergarten graduation

Reed is a kindergarten graduate! He has had a great year with Ms. Beth and Ms. Wendy, but he was ready to graduate and enjoy summer. They had a cute program and diploma ceremony in the church, then we headed over for a reception (as you can see Reed loved the food!)

Hard to believe our baby is going on to first grade, but we couldn't be more proud of him and how well he has done in kindergarten. Yay, Reed!

BBQ fest

The boys enjoyed their first BBQ fest this year. And we got a few good pics on the river. They will definitely be coming back for more : )

Baseball time

Summer is right around the corner, and baseball is in full swing. Alex had his first game this week, and Reed is finishing up his season on Saturday. I think they are having a great time this year and have declared baseball their favorite sport!

Mother's Day

I had the best Mother's Day weekend. We spent Saturday morning at the Botanic Garden followed by a patio lunch in the gorgeous sunshine.

The boys MADE me an edible arrangement on Sunday morning, and I could not  have loved it more. Seriously, best mother's day gift, and they were so proud. Then I got to go have a great lunch with mom and spend the afternoon shopping. I loved every minute of it!

Water gun weather

I love these early days of summer -- sunshine, garden hoses and water guns.

Alex's First Communion

Alex celebrated his first communion today. He looked so grown up in his coat and tie, and the whole group did a great job during mass. They had a little reception in the gym afterward and then we headed home for lunch with the family. It was a great day!

Reed's classroom play

Reed's was the narrator of his class play, Three Billy Goats Gruff. The class was divided into small groups and they each did a short play in the classroom. He did a great job and was so proud!
