Slush day

For the first time in a long time, the weathermen got it right! We have had sleet, snow and freezing rain for two days. Alex and Reed had a "snow" day from school, but were really disappointed to find out that there wasn't really any snow to play in. We did get out in the slush for a bit and they had fun running around.

Moz and Gramps' new house

Alex and Reed are having fun and enjoying Moz and Gramps' new house! There is tons of sidewalk and driveway for bike riding (and bike pulling!) and plenty of space for indoor basketball tournaments. And apparently Alex loved the big bathtub so much that he didn't want to get out! We are really glad they are finaly in the new house and settled.

Afternoon with Grandma

Grandma picked Alex and Reed up from school last week and they had a great time. They played outside, made pancakes and posed for some pictures.

Football season

Alex has had a Colts football uniform for a while and they both love playing with the helmet.  So for Christmas, Aunt Christie got Reed a Carolina Panthers uniform and helmet. Now they can play "tackle" football together - oh, boy! Here they are, all dressed and ready to go.

And this is a photo of December 2007, when Alex got his uniform from Aunt Linda. He's gotten so big!

Our little angels

Alex and Reed love to play in the mornings while Brian and I are getting ready for work. Usually they play basketball, hammer on their tool bench or race cars. But this morning, they were being really, really quiet. So Brian and I quietly opened the door to Alex's room...expecting to see them climbing on the dresser or getting into something (it has happened!). But instead, we found two cute little boys quietly reading books on the bed. What a surprise! I said to Brian, "look at our little angels!" A little while later, they were nearly killing each other with light sabers and Alex said, "Mom, are we still being little angels?"

Little helper

Alex has always been a great helper, but lately, he's really started to get into my "projects." He loves to do crafts, painting, sanding, and all the other fun projects I come up with around the house. Recently I was making a curtain for the den, and he decided to help me "iron"!

Snow

Even though the snow was much less than predicted, Alex and Reed were very excited! They loved watching it snow, and we even played outside for a few minutes. Very fun!

Last day of 2009

We had a very low key New Year's Eve with Alex and Reed. After dinner we poured some sparkling grape juice and they got out the noisemakers. 2009 was such a great year, full of fun, love and crazy boys! We can't wait to see what 2010 brings! Happy New Year!
