Camp week

Brian said the other night that this is the first time in 6 years that it's felt like summer. I couldn't agree more. In the past we've always had the boys just continue going to their daycare or preschool for the summer. The weather changes, but pretty much everything about our routine stays the same. But with the boys getting bigger this year, it seemed like a good time to really enjoy summer break.

So after a vacation and a week at home with Caroline, Alex and Reed went off to their first summer camp this week. Alex went to a CBHS all sports camp and Reed went to his regular preschool's summer camp. And, I have to say, I think the two week break from routine made this week extra fun.

Reed enjoyed seeing some of his old friends from the school year and having fun new summer teachers (and a lot fewer rules!) Alex loved, loved, loved the all sports camp. He played football (with real helmets and pads on the field), tennis, soccer, kickball, ultimate battle ball (whatever that is!) and took a tour of the school. He even got recognized as one of the Campers of the Week. The cutest thing, though, was that he was most excited about the recognition because it meant he got a second t-shirt - one he could give to Reed! I love these boys!
