Fall break at the lake

Alex was on fall break this weekend, so we decided to spend a few days at the lake and make a vacation out of it. Friday morning we headed into Savannah and spent the morning in the city. We saw the Tennessee River Museum where the boys learned a little about the river and the "Silver" War! Then we had a fun lunch outside and enjoyed cupcakes on Main Street. We had a blast just walking around and enjoying small town Savannah.

I always love to roast hot dogs and cook smores when we are at the lake, but the weather never seems to cooperate. This time, it was a little warm, but we went for it anyway. Brian made a great fire and the boys enjoyed cooking and eating their food outside on the sand. We spent Saturday and Sunday loving the beautiful weather and watching some great football. We had an amazing time and it was fun to get away for a little while. The trip also made us all ready for some real fall weather!
