Jack-o-lanterns

We finally carved pumpkins tonight! Alex has been begging and begging to buy one of those little pumpkin carving kits and carve his own pumpkin. We picked up two giant pumpkins at the fall festival on Saturday so we were ready to go. They both thought the guts were "disgusting" but were very interested in picking out the design for their pumpkins. Of course, Alex picked a scary face and Reed picked a silly one! Alex and I had a great time doing his carving, and even though Reed got tired of it after about 5 minutes, Brian persevered and finished his silly pumpkin. After we finished, we lit them on the mantle and curled up on the couch to watch them glow.
